I saw some movie for this... a bunch of 40 year olds trying to be hip "id tell you my screen name but id would have to kill you"... ya, thats not old

all of the new systems are a really downer to me, they all look the same..

im more than likely not getting any of the new systems

Lol.. Im Getting A PS3 cuz its gonna be ALOT better than Xbox 360 (ps2 was better than Xbox) i may get a Xbox 360 if they make more halo games.. but thats bout it... cuz thats all i use my Xbox for

I have to agree with Old Warrior Dood, personally nothing beats a PC, everytime I consider getting one of the "big three" I just remember that Oblivion is coming out on the PC and I just get lost in thoughts about that.

I heard a rumor, for all you RPG fans maybe you know better, that Square actually signed over to Microsoft and discontinued being with Sony. Meaning new Square games only on X-Box...?

Only reason I liked my PS2 over X-Box is because X-box could not compete at the game level (unless you only played sports games). Since I buy a console to play games and not as a computer I care about the games not the specs. If game companies are signing over to M$ then it would be tough for me to go PS3 route. Esspecially since they are releaseing more and more games as console exclusive games rather than on all three systems.

Nintendo had the dominante business model in the 80's beating out Atari and setting the standards for video games. Anyone that studies business or reads case studies knows this. But since Super Nintendo beating out Sega, it was all down hill from there. Just like X-Box 1-2 games that make the system and would be fun to play but not worth spending the money on the console for one game.

Ps3 looks pretty darn awesome... offcourse based on someone who had all Sony's system and consoles... yea bt xbox360 has nice looks

Deciding when PS3 comes out, therefore XBOX360 will experience a bit of a price drop by then.

Well, I'd care about Sqaure leaving if it wasn't for this: Every time Enix does a whistle call, Sony comes up and sits, waiting for a treat to be balanced on it's nose so it can practise dicipline.

When Enix backs off, then I'll have feelings for Sqaure. Untill then, Enix'll fugg up every Final Fantasy to date.

I'd only get a 360 if I enjoyed FPS games played on a consol that has had problems with uncomfortable controllers. Since the only FPS's that I play are found on a PC also, then I don't need a 360.

The new Sony seems interesting, and it will probably sell the best of the three systems mainly because of the popularity of the company. It is definitely better than the 360, but I've never been fond of controls that teach kids about 4 basic shapes. "So what is that password again? Its Square, Triangle, Triangle, Circle... X" Sony has always seemed like a joke to me. It is definitely the system of choice for RPG gamers though. If I was more of an RPG gamer then I'd definitely get one. But there is still the Nintendo...

The Revolution will definitely be the system that I get. Since I missed out on the GameCube, I will still be able to utilize the backwards compatability of the system. Then I can get all of my old favorites. The games that Nintendo has put out usually can't be found on the PC either, so if I want to play any of Nintendo's franchises, then I'll have to get the Revolution. It has been far too long since I played a new Zelda, Donkey Kong, or Mario game. I'm also very curious about this incredible controller that they are promising.

And to everyone that thinks that Nintendo systems are for kids: Good. That is a demographic that neither of the other systems are even trying to touch.

preordered xbox360 alrdy since i know the price, 299 and 399 depending on if u want a harddrive in ur xbxo or not.. which i do... i know i m getting the xbox 360 but im not sure about ps3. but i might change my mind since ps3 scomes out in spring of 05 and thats kinda a long way to go.. i heard that halo3 is coming out same date as ps3.. soo who knows... the thing is ps3 is going to be for sure atleast 400-500 dollard =(

I was always amazed when I use to watch The ScreenSavers on TechTV back when Leo & Pat were the hosts. Pat & Kevin would have some niffty hacked out XBoxes on that show. Showing how they really are Linux computers. I could see what all the hub-bub was about. They were great little Media Centers for your living room. The sceen mods were just beautiful.

I am curious to see how this new generation of game consoles are going to be hacked. I know Microsoft wants to put an end to this. Boo-Hoo for them. I personally do not care to buy a game console, but that doesn't take away their cool factor. I have bought just about all of the game consoles I ever want over the last 20+ years. I use to have an "Intellevistion". Remember those? (In fact I think it is still in my garage somewhere...broken of course...my BROTHER did it) They came out around 1980-1981. Then I bought a Commodore 64. I wish I never sold that little "Computer". I had a blast on that thing. It blew away anything IBM tried to throw at you during those times. Not until the Amiga and the Mac did computers start to evolve.

After I had my Commodore 64 (Which I bought for $600.00 brand spanking new right when my wife said she was pregnant with our first child, because I thought I would never have any money after that for anything fun again.) I ended up getting my first born when he was 5 a 1st generation Nintendo. After that, a Super Nintendo. Then I stopped buying those things for awhile because by then I was really getting into PC Clones. My first PC was a Fast Data 386/DX40. I read the Computer Shopper magazine religiously until I felt confident enough to spend $1500.00 on a PC. I tracked the Fast Data company for months, then finally spent the cash. I bought the warranty so I was protected. They went belly up in 4 months after I bought the thing. However, it was a great computer. The only system faster then this one was a 486/DX50 at that time. (DX means it had a Math co-processor on the mother board. SX means it didn't. We always said an SX totally SuX)

So after a decade of having PC's and building bigger and better ones I finally bought the kids a PS1, then of course I had to buy them a PS2. That is what they wanted. Not a XBox. At that time the XBox didn't have any good games for it, the PS2 did. I didn't care. The good news for me was while they are on the PS2, they are NOT on my Good Computer.

My kids still like the game consoles, but they have been taught by me that a computer is so much more. If I was younger and had hands and fingers that will not hurt when I fumble with that darn controler then I would want both.

I can see in the not to distance future that game consoles and computers will be one in the same.

If I get an X-Box 360 it would only be for Halo 3 and maybe Perfect Dark Zero, but paying upwards of 500 dollars just to play those 2 games isen't very appealing for me.
